The Three-Step Install: You must download and install three distinct components from the Yamaha Pro Audio Downloads page: the official USB-MIDI Driver, the Studio Manager V2 Host, and the specific 01V96 Editor plugin.
Port Matching: On the hardware mixer, press the DIO/SETUP button, navigate to the MIDI/HOST page, and assign Studio Manager to USB Port 1 (or Port 2). In the computer software, go to File > System Setup inside the Editor window and match those exact same incoming and outgoing USB MIDI ports.
Directional Synchronization: When the software asks to sync, choose Console → PC if you want to pull an existing mix from the board to your computer.
